About Us
NOVA:Nova is Zach Schuh (lead vocals, guitar, keys), Alden Crop (drums, percussion), and Warren Whitehurst (bass, keys, vocals). WHAT WE'RE ABOUT:We are currently a completely independent band located in Fresno, California. Everything is produced, mixed, and mastered by ourselves. We want to be able to create songs with an overall sound that is both unique, yet familiar enough to appeal to a large number of people. BAND BACKGROUND:What started out as Zach seeking out band members to support a previous cd, recorded with Rafael Carmany at Cobalt Studios in Fresno, eventually turned into a completely different project with a good portion of the new material being collaboratively written as a band. Zach and Alden had gone to middle school and high school together - they even had a band back in middle school. However, after graduating, Alden went to college in Hawaii to focus on drumming and percussion while Zach stayed in Fresno as an economics major at Fresno State. It was during this time that Zach recorded the album Fool For Hire and began seeking out bandmates. When Zach was introduced to Warren, a music major at Fresno State, they quickly decided to start a new band and focused on writing new songs. Shortly after, Alden had moved back from Hawaii and was asked to join the project.
